Visual Immersion

I made sure all my current assets had UVs for the beginning of this week so that I could start rebuilding some of the assets and construct some of the structures I wanted in my scene. the process of UVing and duplicating took much longer than I expected so I am glad I did the UVs before constructing any other of my structures. from now on I will UV as I make the assets as it is not a fun process doing them all at once.

I used the wave and curve deformers to take the roof and make it rounded for a different structure.

i have also sorted my assets into UV squares and added coloured textures to them so i know which ones are assigned to which textures.

I cut a shape out of a plane and extruded it to add thickness to create the wing. moved it around with the brush tool and smoothed it with the quad draw relax tool.

I tried to maintain square quads so I can animate it later if I decide to.

had some issues when unwrapping with non planar faces which I fixed by triangulating the mesh.
